TIOMAN Seaouting Odyssey!
packages include leisure rides, swimming,
snorkeling, coral observation, sea birds watching,
sight-seeing and diving. It
is very popular in
Tioman island where there are numerous wonderful snorkeling and
diving sites - some a stone's throw away from the beach while others
can be reached by boat. The waters surrounding the whole island
is crystal clear and one really can watch the miracles of
underwater world clearly - beautiful coral reefs, colorful species
of marine life, excellent underwater topography with granite
boulders that rise above the surface.
Snorkeling and dive sites also
include a dozen or so wrecks, mainly wooden hulled fishing vessels.
The shallow, calm water sites such as Renggis Island, Tulai Island
and Tumok Island are ideal for dive training and new divers. Sites further afield
also offer deeper waters, more challenging
currents and the chance to see larger species of marine life such as
the blue spotted lagoon rays (toeniura lymma), Manta rays, blue-ringed Angel
Fish (pomacanthus annularis) and the Six Banded Angle Fish
(pomacanthus sextriatus) are common here although rare elsewhere. Snorkeling offers you excellent
opportunities to explore inner reefs while swimming slowly in
water meditation, listening to the sounds of your inner breath
and watching a panoramic topographic view of the underwater world.
If you wish to snorkel, you can rent life
jackets, goggles and other snorkeling
